How to play Where Nobody

Find a spot that fits the prompt, as far from the city lights as you can.

One round

  1. Read the prompt, such as “a country on the Black Sea”.
  2. Spin the globe and tap a spot. The country lights up.
  3. Happy with it? Press Drop pin.
  4. See how dark it is, and what counted if you missed.

Scoring

Your spot is ranked against all the land that fits the prompt, using about 5,800 cities and their populations. The darker it is, the better your stamp. After each pin, the violet dot shows the darkest spot you could have picked.

  • Downtown: 10 points
  • Suburbs: 25 points, darker than 35% of the zone
  • Back Roads: 45 points, darker than 62% of the zone
  • Wilderness: 70 points, darker than 84% of the zone
  • Where Nobody: 100 points, darker than 96% of the zone

Land Back Roads or darker in a row to build a combo, up to ×3. A pin that doesn’t fit the prompt scores nothing and resets the combo.

Pins from other players light places up. Once a prompt has real pins, a spot where many people landed counts as less dark.

Tips

Big, empty corners of a country beat its middle. Small islands are easier to hit if you zoom in first.
